Festival of languages and International Food attracted more than 300 people in Cambourne on Saturday 12th at the Hub Community Centre where British Sign Language, Urdu, Panjabi, Farsi, Bengali, Telugu, English, Japanese, Arabic and Hindi were demonstrated and explained to the visitors.
Cllr Shrobona Bhattacharya, the organiser of the event explained, "Diversity, Equality and Inclusion - the very essence of a multicultural society. More we understand the differences, a respectful, unified, balanced society we make. Cambourne is a Town where nearly 60 languages are spoken and we need to acknowledge this diversity to make a better place to live in".
The stall holders were appreciated by the residents and visitors who put efforts to exhibit different global languages in the festival.
